On the 14^th of March 2020, CMH Toyota Alberton were overjoyed to be a part of the Leeuwenhof Rugby day. We were so excited by the event that it was a no brainer to have Toyota vehicles on display, and we gave away free Toyota merchandise to all whom attended the event.   The new Toyota Corolla 1.2T XR CVT and the 2.8 GD-6 Turbodiesel Toyota Hilux Legend 50 were just some of the vehicles that were on display. The 2.8 GD-6 Turbodiesel engine of the Toyota Hilux Legend 50 model produced a peak torque of 420 Nm at 1 400-2 600 r/min on the day. The audience was intrigued by the Legend 50’s more aggressive grille and front bumper, bold new wheel design, larger integrated multimedia display, keyless entry and push-start, side steps and the Legend 50’s badging both inside and out. The new Toyota Corolla 1.2T XR CVT had its own admirers. This came as no surprise as the Toyota Corolla 1.2T XR CVT boasts a number of features including: 1.2-litre turbocharged engine, featuring a host of efficiency-boosting technologies such as the variable valve timing. The power of the Corolla is transmitted from the Turbo engine to the wheels through an intelligent manual transmission on the manual model or an automatic continuously variable transmission (CVT). In February CMH Toyota Alberton had the Newmarket mall in Alberton on display at Newmarket mall in Alberton. The latest Toyota vehicles were on display for the public to view and test drive.

The vehicles which were on display included the All-new Toyota Corolla Quest, Toyota C-HR , Toyota Fortuner and the Toyota Rav4. We saw masses coming through to have a look at our incredible vehicles. Over the weekend the Sales team had to work at the mall due to the massive amounts of people who were visiting our display area.

The public could easily foresee that the new Toyota Corolla Quest was not just your average family sedan. With an upgraded 1.8 litre engine; innovative safety features; as well as a stylish new look inclusive of 16-inch alloy wheels*, partial leather* trim and a touchscreen infotainment system*, it was obvious to see why this reliable and fuel-efficient family sedan was so popular

Message from the CEO’s Desk – Jebb McIntosh with regards to COVID-19 – Precautionary measures

COVID-19 – Precautionary measures are vigilantly being implemented within all CMH GROUP Dealerships in order to avoid the spread of the Coronavirus.

We all face a difficult challenge responding to the Coronavirus, COVID-19, which the World Health Organization has declared a pandemic. The safety of our customers, employees, families, and visitors remains the overriding priority of the CMH GROUP.

To aid in minimizing the spread of the virus, all CMH Group Dealerships and offices have implemented the following measures.
1. Encourage employees and Customers to regularly and thoroughly clean their hands with an alcohol-based hand rub or wash them with soap and water.
2. Customers and Employees will be given hand Sanitiser on entry to the Dealership. 3. As has always been the norm in CMH Group workshops, the customer vehicles will have protective gear, steering wheel covers, and seat covers, etc fitted on arrival, and the inside of the vehicle and outside touchpoints will be sanitized before customer collection.
4. All Dealerships are disinfected regularly throughout the day, this includes all touch surfaces, door handles, railings, taps, desks, computers, cell phones, credit card terminals, keys (Customers), etc.  The Coronavirus is not airborne, it relies on touch. 5. Any CMH Group Staff member, should they show or experience any cold or flu-like symptoms, have been requested to go and see a medical practitioner right away.
6. Maintain social distancing, by maintaining at least 1-metre distance between yourself and the next person.
7. Practice respiratory hygiene, making sure you, and the people around you, follow good respiratory hygiene. Cover your mouth and nose with a bent elbow or tissue when you cough or sneeze. At the CMH Group, your health and the health of our staff are of paramount importance. Consequently, we will ensure that the required protocols will be applied diligently.
