At the sales counter, the sales team William and Hector is always ready to assist customers with the quickest, friendliest service possible and making their customers feel at home as soon as they walk through the door.
Their sales team has the Spare Wheel lock on display to make customers aware of the high importance to own one of these locks, especially on how it can save the customers money, should they be one of the Victims of a stolen spare wheel. “The spare wheel lock is just one of the few accessories to own to make your Toyota safer” according to their parts manager Andry van der Walt. The parts department is truly there for their customers and takes their customers’ needs into account on a daily basis, assisting with Globe fittings, new battery fittings, advice on safety, genuine Toyota quality parts and much more.
CMH Toyota Melrose teamed up with Absa Capital for an opportunity to display their vehicles at the ABSA Capital building in the Sandton CBD on the 23rd November 2017. They had three vehicles displayed outside, while they also had a setup inside the building to assist the employees.
Our new vehicle sales executives had an action-packed day as we had a flurry of interest from ABSA employees both looking to purchase now and in the near future. The main purpose of the display was to generate awareness of our dealership amongst our ABSA colleagues as well as maintain a healthy working relationship with the corporate banking team.
There were a variety of giveaways on the day including a lucky draw for a 4X4 driving course with Toyota South Africa. Everyone was allowed to enter the competition and the winner was selected and the client who won, was, funnily enough, looking to buy the new Fortuner vehicle.

The Association for the Aged’s Tafta Lodge home in Durban’s South Beach is the proud recipient of a brand new aviary housing five colourful budgies that have attracted the attention of the home’s nature lovers.
The aviary, brainchild of Durban resident and wildlife enthusiast Chantel van den Berg, was sponsored to the home by CMH Toyota Umhlanga and was officially installed and opened on Thursday 23 November 2017 for residents to enjoy.
“I’m an animal lover and I’ve come to the home a few times, and knowing that many people have left behind their pets and homes and are not able to care for pets in this setting, I realised that an aviary may be the perfect opportunity for those animal lovers to reconnect with nature,” explains van den Berg, who approached CMH to assist with the project.
CMH New vehicle Sales manager, Patrick Pakaree, who attended an intimate ribbon cutting ceremony of the aviary today, said his company was grateful to have contributed to the happiness of Tafta elders through the contribution of the Aviary: “We’re actually so appreciative of the opportunity to get involved in a project of this nature. It’s a small gesture but we do hope it brings joy, laughter and hope to the nature lovers in this space.”
“As an association, we’re always trying our best to recreate a normal human habitat that constitutes all aspects of human life, and by having the aviary installed, we’re seeing an immediate connection happening between the birds and our elders. What’s wonderful about caring for these birds is that the elders are now being given the opportunity to give, and not just receive care, which is truly a wonderful thing to see,” said Gail Samuels: Tafta Divisional Manager of Income Development, Marketing and Public Relations.
Tafta Elder, Leznet Knaggs, said she was excited to have the birds in their home: “I just know how much we’re all going to benefit from having the birds in our space; it’s such a wonderful, bright addition and as a nature lover, I’m going to thoroughly enjoy caring for them”.

The Black Friday event day took place on the 24th of November 2017 on a Friday starting at around 08:00 Am that Friday morning. They had amazing deals and specials at their new and used cars department. The CMH Toyota Alberton’s new cars department had amazing deals where they had the new 2017 Toyota Fortuner 2.8GD-6 Manual 4×2, the new 2017 Toyota Hilux Double cab 2.8GD-6 4×4 Automatic, the new 2017 Toyota Aygo with the drop top sun roof and the new 2017 Toyota Hilux Single cab 2.8GD-6 manual selling at dealer cost. It surely pulled a lot of attention even up until now, where they are still currently running a Post Black Friday deal with the vehicles that are still available.
Xolile Hlatshwayo attended the regional skills Olympiad awards held at Toyota SA on the 11th September 2017. The competition was open to all non-managerial staff, with the exception of the Hino Truck sales and Lexus sales categories only. Participants were allowed to participate in the category that they are employed in and their franchise in either Hino, Lexus, Toyota.
Dual Sales Executives (New & Automark) were to enter the category where the majority of sales volume generates from i.e.: actual sales selling used vehicles as to new vehicles. All participants had to complete online questionnaires and an average of 70% or more were to be obtained in order to qualify for the 3rd live assessment where after the top 8 participants per region go through to the regionals finals.
Dealer staff members were encouraged to participate in the competition, and it was mandatory for all dealer staff who belonged to the following reward and recognition programmes namely:
-Toyota Knights, Automark Knights, Lexus Knights, Hino Knights
-Parts Masters Programmes
-Customer service society
Xolile Hlatshwayo completed all the online questionnaires until the regional finals and received a certificate for his participation in the competition. Next year he is committed to making it all the way to the national finals.
CMH Toyota Alberton had yet another successful Event day at the Decathlon Sole Search Brotherhood Strongman competition on the 28th of October 2017 Saturday morning at around 09:00 AM starting time. The Event truly had a lot of attention especially for the fitness guys or even people that did their Saturday morning shopping at the Race View Mall Shopping Centre. The event took place at the entrance of the new shop, Decathlon Sports Megastore.
CMH Toyota Alberton was truly proud to be able to sponsor this big event, thus also providing them with a brand New Toyota Hilux for the Rope pull event and a New Toyota Aygo for the Deadlift event. Lots of prizes and free bees was available from Toyota Alberton whereby they gave away Pens, Caps and lots more.
The manager from CMH Toyota Alberton’s new cars department Richard Pretorius presented the specials on the New Toyota Hilux and New Toyota Corollas that was also available and open for viewing and display at the CMH Toyota Alberton stand. The New Toyota Hilux was truly an eye catcher for a lot of people and they had the opportunity to view and demo if needed, with the Toyota sales executives on standby should they have needed any more info regarding any of the vehicles.
The day was extremely fun and people even had the opportunity to try some of the events that day just for fun or even just for a laugh.
CMH Toyota Alberton will surely be sponsoring the Brotherhood Strongman competition in the near future as these events are always a great success and truly fun.
