Dean matriculated from St Stithians College Johannesburg in 1999, he then went to further his studies at the university of Stellenbosch where he completed his Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management in 2004. Despite having an HR qualification Dean decided to join the motor industry as this business has been in his family his entire life. He started as a fleet sales consultant with McCarthy Nissan. Dean being a people’s person and customer orientated, customer service to him is a priority and this as a result has led him eighteen months later into the motor industry where he was promoted to a New Vehicle Sales Manager and he continued to perform successfully for almost seven years and won numerous awards for being the best New Car Manager of the year in 2008, 2009 and 2010. He also received the McCarthy MD award as a New Car Sales Manager in 2011 and again in 2013. Dean puts customers’ needs first by providing and delivering professional, helpful, high quality service and assistance before, during and after the customers’ requirements are met. In February 2014, Dean was promoted to a Dealer Principal at McCarthy Nissan Randburg and successfully ran the dealership for two and a half years. After spending twelve years with Nissan, Dean decided to change brands and is now part of the CMH Toyota Melrose family serving as a Dealer Principal. Dean has been with CMH Toyota Melrose for almost two months now, but within that two months he has done a phenomenal job and created an excellent working vibe with his staff & customers. So it’s true when they say hard work, promptness, patience and professionalism are the main keys to success, which is everything and more that Mr. Chater offered to customers ever since he joined the motor industry.  

CMH Toyota Alberton had some fun by displaying at Rietvlei Zoo Farm where customers could view and also demo the vehicles on display, from new to used vehicles, from Toyota Hilux to the new Toyota Yaris. Rietvlei Zoo Farm is on the doorstep of Alberton and is one of those little-known nature gems near Johannesburg, where the whole family can enjoy a day out on a beautiful large, tranquil farm with plenty to keep the children happy and enough space for those who want to have a quiet break in nature away from the busy city life. The Rietvlei Zoo Farm has been owned and managed by the Johannesburg Zoo for over 50 years and is used to provide breeding, research and auction facilities just to name a few. The grassy picnic areas where truly enjoyed by everyone surrounded by large willow oak trees and beautiful green gardens, where they could just relax and enjoy the sunshine. A lot of activities for that day included feeding the farmyard animals by purchasing veggie packs, enjoying the bird aviary and taking the carnival fun rides, pony and tractor cart rides. Cyclists also enjoyed the day by riding the safe, scenic course which were catered for all, from fun riders to serious mountain bikers. CMH Toyota Alberton supported Broadlands Private school soccer team on the 22nd of April 2015. Broadlands Private School was established in 1935 and boasts a rich history of private schooling excellence to primary school children. Within a panorama of vast green fields and lush trees, Broadlands offers first class private education in a peaceful environment, located only a few minutes off the R59 in Meyerton. Sporting activities play a very important part of their afternoon programmes at Broadlands and each and every child is encouraged to participate in the sports programmes on offer. Sporting activities takes place on a well maintained sports ground on the school premises. Sports that children are able to participate in at Broadlands includes not only Soccer, but also Hockey, Athletics, Netball, Swimming and Mini Cricket. Broadlands enters age-group teams in soccer, netball and tennis leagues. They are justifiably proud of their level of participation as well as the periodic success they had achieved in the leagues over the years, often competing against significantly larger schools. CMH Toyota Alberton supported the runners at the Jackie Gibson Marathon on the first of April 2017 Sunday morning with a water point and two time keeping vehicles. The race kicked off at around 6:40am for the 42km runners whereby the Toyota C-HR was the leading time keeping car with another one lap route at 6:30am where the Toyota Avanza was the time keeping car for the 10km runners together with a short 5km fun run lap. The staff from CMH Toyota Alberton had some fun while entertaining the runners at their water point while handing them some refreshing water sachets and also motivating them. Everyone arrived relatively early that morning, stretching and warming up for the run, some people looked more than just excited to run that race. The Jackie Gibson is a qualifying event for the Comrades Marathon. The Route was given a difficult rating of around 4 with a Circular route type that had some steep up hills and some sublime, towards the finish there was a small two kilometre incline but runners kept going strong towards the end. The prize winners received medals, goodie bags and lucky draw prizes. Walkers also attended the Marathon but had to finish in the 04:00 time limit. The Jackie Gibson Marathon was inaugurated in 1946. Jackie Gibson represented South Africa in the 1936 Berlin Games and finished seventh. In the following year he set an Empire record when he won the South African Championships in Krugersdorp.

On 27th of February 2017 the new Toyota CH-R’s landed on the door step of CMH Toyota Alberton. All the new cars sales executives went for training on the new vehicles beforehand for the event day, “Open day test drive Carnival”, which will be taking place on the 18th of March 2017 at CMH Toyota Alberton.
