CMH Toyota Alberton recently had a Golf day for Ruan Vuderink at the Reading Golf Club.
Ruan, a 16 year old from Meyerton, and a student at Morgenozon Landbou-Akademie, has had his life turned upside down, with a diagnosis of Acute Meyloid Leukemia.
Diagnosed on the 16th November last year, Ruan has spent the majority of this year undergoing chemotherapy. Temporarily blinded by 2 clots on his optical nerves, his future has been in limbo. With his sight restored, Ruan is now looking forward to enjoying his hobbies while he waits for a bone marrow donor.
They are hoping to raise funds for his bone marrow transplant and are appealing to the public to assist in this regard.
