CMH Toyota Melrose have recently partnered with the Rand Athletic Club (RAC), one of the biggest running clubs in South Africa. On Sunday the 25th November 2018, RAC hosted the 45th annual City Lodge 32km Tough One. This is one of the toughest runs on the calendar and this year was no different.
We were placed at the 16km halfway mark, and enjoyed a morning of supporting all the runners who took part in the race, whilst we also enjoyed some valued time out of the office together. The event was well attended with over 6 000 runners taking part in this year’s edition. A lot of planning and logistics goes into an event of this magnitude, and as always the race organizers didn’t disappoint.
We are very proud to be associated with such a prestigious event on the running calendar, and would like to thank Dick Welch, the chairman of RAC, his wife Vreni Welch, Malcolm Gibbons and everyone who made this event possible, and for allowing us the opportunity to be a part of such a wonderful event and we look forward to being a part of many more RAC organized events in the near future.
